"A testament to a terrible time." Anne Frank House Tip by Kettleman
Anne Frank House, Amsterdam: 230 reviews and 238 photos
I went to the House many years ago on my first visit to Amsterdam.
It was long before the modern building alongside was there. The quiet outside the house belied the terrible happenings that took place across Europe and the eventual outcome for the Frank family, and the betrayal that led to the death of Anne and her family.
It is a sobering place to go. You should go at least once.
On the last trip we went past on the canal boat and the queue/line was about 400 yards long to get in and it was already 1800h.

“For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.”
