The Horseshoe Inn is somewhere I had wanted to try out for a long time and a birthday treat seemed like the ideal occasion to book a table!

It is a big friendly pub/restaurant/hotel in the lovely setting of Windmill Hill with plenty of car parking! When we arrived it seemed quite empty but I guess thats because it was still early and lots of people were sitting outside but a short while later it started to get really busy but the waitress remained helpful and smiley.

Favorite Dish: We had the garlic breaded mushrooms, whitebait and calamari for starters. For main courses we had Steak and chips, sausage and mash, and plaice and capers in a lemon sauce. There is absolutely loads of choices from the menu as well as on the board on the wall. It all comes with either salad or vegetables and chips or new potatoes.

For pudding I had the raspberry cheese cake :)))

It came to just over £50 for three people and that included drinks. Very reasonable!
