Olive Garden: "simply italian" Fairlawn Restaurant Tip by davecallahan

This chain restaurant serves primarily Italian foods at reasonable prices.
The decor is not especially Italian but more American restaurant. It is nicely divided into smaller rooms of about 10 tables each so there isn't too much noise in one room. You can carry on a conversation without shouting or being overheard by another table.
Spaghetti, lasagna, linguine, bruchetta, calamari, ravioli, and eggplant parmigiana are typical items on the menu. And with that main meal you can get a salad bowl from their salad bar. They also have a great onion soup with italian toast and cheese on top. Or try their tasty minestrone. What ever your choice from the Italian slate, it will be great.
If you are not into Italian, then they do have Chicken Lemon and Salmon and Prime Rib but you can get those at any restaurant.
Some of the meals come with buns, others come with an endles supply of breadsticks.
The staff was pleasant. A hostess seats your group, then a waitress takes your drink order. After you have had a few minutes to look over the menu, the waitress returns with the drinks and takes your order. In about 15 minutes, your meal is served. Everything is nice and efficient.
Most meals cost between $12 and $15 for the main part plus another $10 for soup, salad, beverage. If you add in one of their fine desserts (carrot cake, ice cream with cinnamon stick, et.al.) then the bill per person will be about $25 plus tax/tip.
