This wholesome,low-key, family-style restaurant is perfect for any occasion; birthday parties, casual get togethers, and power lunches. The crowd is very local Vegas, who mind their own business while enjoying a good meal. The restaurant itself is warm and cozy, a little piece of Cuba relocated in the Vegas desert with colorful walls, cheerful paintings, friendly service, catchy Cuban music, and an artistically wine-corked ceiling.

No one kicked out the crying kids while I was there. The music, good wine, and ultra-helpful and friendly staff make sure everyone is comfortable.

Favorite Dish: POPULAR DISH
The extensive menu of authentic, mouth watering Cuban dishes ranges from crisp plantanos maduros (sweet fried bananas), the standard sandwich cubano (slowly roasted pork, ham, swiss cheese, mustard, and pickels hot pressed on Cuban bread) to ropa vieja which loosely translates into ?old clothes?. Huh? What? Yes, ? Old Clothes? is a tasty dish of richly spiced shredded beef simmered with onions and peppers, served with a side of moros and cristianos.( Mixed white rice and beans with onion, pepper, garlic, and spices). It makes old clothes more appealing than the half-yearly sale at Nordstrom?s.

Features state of the art specialty coffees (espresso, macchiato, cappuccino) along with a full beer and wine list, including imported Hatuey Cuban Bear and Negra Modelo. In the mood for a Cuban Soda or a Batidos? (Cuban style fruit shake) Don?t worry, it?s all on the menu,
