This was an incredibly interesting museum about communism in general and in relation to Czechoslovakia & Prague. It details how communism took root in Prague, what the city was like before, during and after it and examines things like the resistance movement. There are communist artefacts and replicas spread throughout the museum along with reconstructions of communist era rooms such as a school room. When I was there, there was also an insightful video showing various demonstrations by those against communism and the actions of police and secret police during them.

I would highly recommend the museum and I spend all morning there I was that interested in it. It costs 180 Kc admission.

To get there head towards the McDonalds on Na Prikope, one of the main streets at the bottom of Wencheslas Square, go through into the courtyard for the casino next door, and up the stairs. If you go right you go to the casino, left for the museum. Anyone else notice a tiny bit of irony about its location? :-P
