Venezuelan high school students follow many of the same practices as American students do. However, public schools are not as widely respected and attended as in the USA. Rather, many middle class students go to smaller private high schools. Along Avenida Principal La Campiña, I saw a parade of public school marching musicians, cheerleaders and soccer players, presummably celebrating an upcoming tournament.
