I stayed here, in a fan room of 2 single beds, a fan, 2 big windows with mosquito-net, share bathroom (don't worry, very clean), US$5.00 per room and additional 5 dollars for air-con. They have huge lobbies on each floor with lazy chairs, coffee table, free drinking water, fans and balcony. Located at the main tourists street in town center.

Other guesthouses charge about the same, US$6, 7, 8, 9, 10 up to 30.

Bus & train tickets are available at the reception, 700 baht directly VIP bus to Khao San Road in Bangkok and 800-1500 baht by train, all at night.

The guesthouse is owned by Huayi (Chinese immigrants before the Communist of 1949). In fact, most of the business in Vientiane are owned by Huayi and also the recent Chinese coming across from the border to make money. Some of the early Chinese immigrants were assimilated, they speak only Laos, it is not easy to tell which one in Vientiane is pure ethnic Lao or pure Chinese.
