Graf Ignatief is sort of a Parisian-style market on which there are book-sellers stalls and also some fruit sellers as well. Its not quite as romantic, but it is a quaint little street where you can find a fe exchange offices if you need to use one. At the end of the street towards Basil Levski there is a pretty church that appeared to be surrounded by homeless dogs when I went. The exterior is covered with mosaics and the interior has some beautiful icons, although it is rather dark and thus difficult to get any pictures. Bulgarians seem to be more religious than their neighbours (definitely more than Serbs) so the church was fairly full while they were saying mass. Be aware that you may get dirty looks if you go earlier in the morning, especially if you are admiring the paintings instead of participating in the service.

Address: Graf Ignatiev str. and Tsar Shishman
Directions: Near the Ministry of Interior or Avenue Patriarch Evtimiy
