This convenient shop right at the intersection of two main streets in downtown Akureyri is a nice find. It has a small selection of groceries and beverages, along with a very good salad bar. While the store is not open from 10 to 11 as the name might indicate (nor is it open 24 hours despite the "24" decals posted everywhere), it has long hours and is a possible alternative to the expensive hotel and guesthouse breakfasts for those on a budget.

What to buy: The salad bar is a great choice for budget lunch or dinner.
