"72 Hour Transportation Pass" Vaporetto - Water Bus Tip by SJTravel

Vaporetto - Water Bus, Venice: 168 reviews and 245 photos

If you plan on visiting the other islands, taking a bus, doing your own vaporetto tour of the grand canal, or if you are staying on a different island while visiting Venice, then I suggest getting a 72 hour transportation pass. With this pass, you don't have to pay extra for your luggage, the pass allows you to take your luggage on for free. Although there is not always someone there to check whether or not you have paid to get on to the vaporetto, there are some stops that always check. This pass is also good on the buses if you are coming or going to on of Venice's airports. Be sure to stamp your pass upon first use.

If you are between the ages of 14-29, I suggest getting a Rolling Venice Card which gives a significant discount for the 72 hour Vaporetto Pass. (http://www.venicecard.it/rolling_eng.jsp)
