Gellifawr is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in but it is also one of the hardest to find! Advice - find it before dark or you may be as unlucky as us and end up driving around the Pembrokeshire countryside for hours while waiting for a phone signal so that you can contact the hotel for directions!!
This is truly the only downside to what was a lovely break in the heart of the archaeology that I love in a hotel with some of the nicest food I have ever tasted. There is a hotel situated in an old 19th century restored stone farmhouse with its original windows, the rooms have lovely views over the gardens and land surrounding the hotel, the howling wind and rain when we were there creating a very dramatic noise but making us feel especially cosy in this warm and traditional hotel. The room had a four poster bed, subtle lighting, TV with DVD player (necessary due to the absence of satellite), DVD's to borrow, nice little touches are included. The rooms are quite large, clean and have adequate bathrooms.
The hotel has a lovely bar and restaurant. The restaurant has an excellent menu and believe it or not you will need to book to have dinner here as the locals stop by for a feed too.
The hotel also has some cottages for self catering availability.
