"luton - stansted transfer" England Transportation Tip by say-no-more

lot of low-cost airlines these days fly to london, and from london to almost anywhere. but be careful when you book the tickets, because there are a couple of airports named london-something, which are actually quite far away from london and from each other. be sure that you have enough time between flights to get from one airport to another - take into account waiting for the luggage, timetables of the buses, distance between the airports, traffic jams, check-in time...
for example, from london luton to london stansted it takes between 1.15 and 2 hours by bus! the good thing is that the buses go very frequently. plus you get to see some small and nice english towns in between :))
also, you can book tickets online, which is great because it reduces the time. you can do it here: http://www.london-luton.co.uk/en/nationalexpress/
one more tip, about the money. be sure to have english pounds with you, or some credit card to get money from the ATM. changing money at the airport is the worst solution - they wanted to take 5% provision for changing euro to pounds!!! btw, they don't accept american express. luckily, there is one (!) ATM which accepts amex, so i managed to get money for the bus.. otherwise i would be hitch-hiking to stansted :D
