Antica Locanda La pietra: "The real and authentic Tuscan food" Roccalbegna Restaurant Tip by lforrro

My boyfriend and I, we?ve been in Roccalbegna in 2005, while doing a trip in the less known Tuscan corners.
One of the places we felt in love with, was Roccalbegna. It was quite a strategic choice as we wanted to be close enough to Saturnia, Sovana and Sorano.
We discovered the ?Antica Locanda La Pietra? first as a restaurant. Food was great and unforgettable, all homemade with authentic passion and loyal to old Tuscan recipes. All the ingredients are genuine and they always have only fresh food.
They also have cooking courses so if you like to learn how to prepare some genuine dishes that?s the place to be!
Favorite Dish: My favourite dish is the ?acquacotta? soup.
Acquacotta literally means cooked water, and is one of the classic soups of the Tuscan Maremma. The dish is generally served as a one course meal, and in the past was eaten in the field by shepherds and stockmen -- peasant food, in short. As is the case with any regional dish, there are as many versions as there are cooks.
