Pre?eren Square - Preseren Trg, Ljubljana: 84 reviews and 138 photos
Preseren Square is the heart of Ljubljana, named after Slovenia's greatest poet France Preseren whose statue graces the square. Around the square you'll find a variety of interesting buildings, the striking red Church of the Annunciation, the art noveau Urbanc House (Centromerkur), another folk art painted building and a sage green art nouveau building as well as the Triple Bridge.
A few steps from the square down Wolfova Street you'll find a terra cotta figure of the object of Preseren's affection, Julija Primic, gazing over towards him, regrettably she did not return his affection.
We didn't go into the Church of the Annunciation but you might want to in order to see Francesco Robba's marble high altar.
