From the Park I recommend to walk back to the main road via the very fine 900m boardwalk, displaying and presenting several aspects of the Central Catchment Nature Reserve?s flora and fauna. Although there?s no primary forest left in this part ? it was once cleared for a rubber plantation ? the views over the tranquil reservoir are fantastic.
At the boardwalk junction make sure you turn left heading in the Bamboo Trail, so that you eventually will disembark at Casuarina, the scene of a row of excellent and popular Indian and Seafood restaurants!
From oppostite Casuarina busstop B24 you can a bus back in town via Tao Payoh MRT (163) or Harbourfront (855), amongst others.
