Kallang Park connector (10)

Squeezed between Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 and Kallang River for about 2,5 kilometers is the Bishan Park, that actually consists of 2 parts, seperated from each other by Marymount Road.

Bishan Park 2 is focussed on activity such as cycling, skating, jogging, fitness, dog running and there?s a gigantic open grass field, used for all kinds of team sports. Rentals of bicycles and skating gear (each are S$8/ first hour, with big discounts for longer rent) are available at least on Sundays, but the bicycles are mainly an attraction for children as the park is quite small.

Funny thing is you can really express yourself here as people do the weirdest exercises. I marched around throwing my feet up 1 meter high and at the same time swinging my arms horizontal around me. It was considered completey normal.

I enjoyed spending time here. On Sundays there are lots of people around but it?s not overcrowded. There are some fine gardens and a pond that partially dried up giving way to fascinating flora. The backdrop of the Bishan Street 23 Housing Blocks is in one word fabulous.
