The approach to the Great Temple of Amun at Karnak in Modern Luxor is now the primary modern entrance. It is located on the west of the Temple. The approach consists of a number of structures and statues of sphinxes leading up and through the first Pylon.
There are the Barque Chapel of Hakoris and 29th Dynasty Monument to the right of the main avenue. It is considered that there were two human headed sphinxes holding a ram-headed urn in their hands. Nothing remains of them but their pedestals. They are 1.5 meters in height.
Staying on the ramp you can see a majestic view at the first Pylon of the Temple and the avenue which is bordered with two rows of sphinxes.
