Saint Petersburg Things to Do: 121 reviews and 175 photos

The oldest park in the area. Most of the 122-acre park is shaded by large oaks and other hardwood trees. Since it is mostly shaded and near the water (more wind) it is one of the better options for the summer.

The park offers picnicking, a view of Old Tampa Bay along 1 mile of shoreline, a boat launching facility, fishing, and play areas.

Quite pretty, on the water, has a nice playground. Popular with dog walkers.

The walking trail is a bit short for serious walkers but the walk to the town of Safety Harbor is quite nice if you want a more serious walk. For more serious walkers I'd recommend parking in the park, walking to Safety Harbor for a meal and then walking back to the park.
