This is a gem on the Ards Penisula that the National Trust now run - the house of this estate is still there and you can take a guided tour of it. However, the gardens are incredible, both the formal gardens and informal gardens which were planted in the 1920s by Lady Londonderry . There are so many nooks to explore, I used to live near by as a child and I loved coming here to explore! There are so many interesting outdoor buildings and sculptures as well as wide array of plants.
Entrance costs: adult £6, child £3 or there is a slightly lower rate for the gardens only.
Opening times depend on the season and its best to check what will be open outside the summer season.
