"Airlines of Argentina-LADE" Argentina Transportation Tip by sinequanon

Argentina Transportation: 90 reviews and 69 photos

LADE which is the State Airforce Airline (no do not get excited, you do not fly in an army aircraft) which flies to certain destinations at distinct days of the week and operates like a bus.

For example, the one I flew with made four stops before it reached Buenos Aires. It started out in Ushuaia, made a stop in Calafate, Comodoro Rivadavia, Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires. The service is basic but good (not too many frills which suits me fine), there is sandwiches and beverages at EVERY stop and it is a cheap and efficient way to travel around the country sometimes even cheaper than buses. The only problem may be that it does not have services every day.

Book in advance as it gets filled up quite quickly. If you cannot help it there is also the possibility to be on the waiting list and get a seat. Better book early though to be on the safe side especially at peak tourist season.
