The Royal in Cancun Room Service: "Free Room Service?" Royal Hotel Tip by keida84
Royal Hotel, Cancún: 5 reviews and 15 photos
Wow. All inclusive hotels are great. Room service was included in our plan. They have a 24 hour service which was advertised as "prompt." I am here to tell you that was not only it prompt but the food was excellent, hot and delightfully presented.
The really cool thing about the service is the Magic Box. If you do not feel like answering the door the waiter will put your tray inside a box that opens to your room, he will flip the light on to let you know your order has arrived. When you are done simply place the dishes back in the box and turn the light on from your side to signal the need for clean up service. This also keep the food trays off the ground in front of the rooms where it would look terrible (no one needs to see the remnants of your dinner from last night and it keeps bugs from finishing off what you did not eat. Great feature that this hotel offers.
Favorite Dish: We had room service for dinner on our arrival night and breakfast the following morning. We were most impressed with the Ajillo fish filet with Mexican guajillo pepper rings and the Florentina chicken along with a lemon tart and cheesecake.
In the morning I had Rancheros eggs which is 2 eggs over a slice of ham on a corn tortilla smothered in Salsa Verde and Paul had Huevos Abanil described as "Abuela's creation" translated that means "Grandma's creation" eggs with roasted tomatoes, onion and epazote (like cilantro or corriander.)
