Gravesteen is a 12th century castle. It is located in the heart of the city and it is absolutely perfect, as far as castles go... moat, arrow slits, turrets.

The castle served two purposes - 1) To protect the townsfolk and 2) to intimidate them into law abiding submission!
It is open 9am- 6pm April - September and 9am - 5pm October - March E5 adult and free for children.... and this is a castle of childrens' dreams!
