"Wieliczka Salt Mine" Wieliczka Salt Mine Tip by TangieSharp

Wieliczka Salt Mine, Krakow: 74 reviews and 182 photos

OK, it's crazy to think of visiting a salt mine, but it was great. We had an awesome tour guide who looked and sounded like he belonged in The Munsters. It's amazing what art they can create from salt. They had statues of Pope John Paul II, then President Clinton, among others. The underground Cathedral was amazing. It's just a surprising awesome place. Plus it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
