"Jewels Museum 9 - Ostentatious" Top 5 Page for this destination Tehran Things to Do Tip by grets

Tehran Things to Do: 228 reviews and 552 photos

Ostentatious, flamboyant, pretentious and showy, many of the pieces were not to my liking. Far too gaudy and garish, making them tasteless rather than impressive. But that is just my humble opinion, others may find them absolutely magnificent. Judge for yourself.

Picture one shows a necklace from 1967 set with emeralds, pearls and diamonds.

Picture two shows an aigrette made in the early 19th century of gold with diamonds, spinels and emerald in a bow shape.

Picture three shows a brooch with numerous precious stones including diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires and turquoises.

Picture four shows a large aigrette made of gold with diamonds, rubies, pearls, spinels and emeralds. Again from the early 19th century.

Picture five shows a jewelled aigrette used by Fathali Shah Qajar and is set with emeralds, rubies and diamonds.
