Tarantella: Lunch with a view

Tarantella is definitely one of the best restaurants in Milos. Even though it is located off the beaten path, it is always full of guests. Both the locals and the visitors alike choose Tarantella for its exquisite cuisine, generous portions and magnificent, elevated view of the bay of Provatas. Tarantella is more popular during the day, where bathers at nearby beaches (4 in the bay of Provatas alone) stop by to taste the local and gourmet delicacies offered by the 2 brother owners, Sarantos and Elias Soulis.

Sarantos' wife, Marina, the head chef, has added her own homemade recipes, adding to Tarantella's local, authentic and unforgettable dining experience.

Favorite Dish: Either pork or chicken filet with fig or plum sauce served with rice or french fries. A heavenly dish! Tarantella offers both gourmet dishes as well as local and traditional Greek recipes.

Do not forget to order Marina's dessert, a delicacy called "HalvAs" with raisins and honey, for just €2.50.

Note: Inexplicably, "Greek" is not one of the 36 restaurant themes offered by VT tips.

Address: Agios Sostis - Bay of Provatas
Comparison: about average
Directions: Atop a hill in Agios Sostis in the bay of Provatas area, on the south coast of Milos. Drive past the exit of Provatas, go up the hill, turn left at the Agios Sostis church. There is a Tarantella sign with the familiar "donkey" logo.
