Maastricht General: 208 reviews and 266 photos

Favorite thing: Maastricht bourgondian life means food and drinks. Nowhere in the counrty you will find so many restaurants and pubs. fact: Maastricht counts over 400 pubs! Around the Vrijthof, O.L.V. plein and Market you find the most of the restaurants and bistro's. The restaurants have mainly french kitchen. This is often added by typical limburg ingredients such as cavechampions or rommedoe. Depending on your money there are the most luxuriious ones in the netherlands: chateau Neercanne, but there are also dozens of small bistros which serve around 10 euro's. small sanwiches and soups are popular on the menue. The Vogel struys pub has a menue constituted of mestreechse hèpkes (small local appetisers) At several banquetshops you can eat pastery. The town has amongst the doznes of pubs also a pub where they are focauued on jenever (De bóbbel, Wolfstraat 32), a very amuzing place because it is frequented by the towns clercs. Bistro's serving breakfast and lunch open at 9.00; restaurants serving dinner open at 18.00 and stay opened till 22.00. Its mostly important to make a reservation for restaurants
