The Harbord Bakery is a pillar of the Annex community and still sports its original sign. The prices of the goods are not what you'd call competitive, especially given that there is a supermarket nearby on Bloor, but people come here more out of notalgia and tradition than for economy. Plus, the baked goods are traditional Jewish ones, complete with pastries and rye breads.

Address: 113 Harbord St
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: Harbord and Major in the Annex
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 4
Theme: Bakery
