This restaurant is easily the best Middle Eastern restaurant in the Annex. Too bad that it doesn't actually have a seating area. Unlike the other Levantine places on Bloor (see Laila), the food here is fairly fresh and well cooked. The servers - there are usually so many they bump into each other - are friendly and helpful. In addition to the standard falafel and shawarma, you can get an assortment of Middle Eastern delicacies like stuffed vine leaves, stewed fava beans, pickled turnips, etc. They are open all night long (I've been there at 4AM, and they still had the full selection).

Favorite Dish: The shawarma is good, but my favourite are the stuffed vine leaves.

Address: 506 Bloor St W
Price Comparison: least expensive
Directions: In the same building as Bloor Cinema
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 4
Theme: Middle Eastern
