2008 Update- because of US Sanctions against the Sudan, this hotel has changed ownership and is now the Pullman Hotel.

I personally haven't stayed here but my daughter has, though I have eaten here many times and frequented the coffee shop.
My daughter was disappointed with the room as it did not have a good view, though most rooms overlook the Nile. The decor was old fashioned, and the cleanliness was not up to her standard. They have colour TV and satellite TV, a refrigerator and mini-bar but no safe. All rooms are air conditioned.
Service and food were quite good [ but be wary of the smoked salmon].
There is are a swimming pool, two tennis courts, billiard room, 10-pin bowling [when it works], health club and sauna.
Dry cleaning facilities are available.
The hotel is wheel chair accessible and there is baby sitting available.

Unique Qualities: The gardens and surroundings are attractive and the dining room and food are good compared to other hotels in town. The buffet breakfast is good but expensive.
Its situation is its selling point being , as it is, at the junction of the Blue Nile and the White Nile.

The prices are ridiculously high.
A single room costs $US 190-200
A double room $US 210-220
Suites range from $US 390-659
Presidential suite $US 750
There is also 10% VAT and a 5% residential tax added

Address: The Mogran area, On Nile avenue just before the Omdurman bridge
Comparison: more expensive than average
Phone: + 249 (11) 774100, 778930
Price: US$180 and up
Theme: Hotel

Review Helpfulness: 4 out of 5 stars
