  The Lamb Inn
by barryg23

After a day of hiking nothing is more appealing than a pub meal with a couple of pints, and that?s exactly what we had at the Lam Inn, the main (or only) pub in Grasmere village. We had just finished a great hike to the top of Loughrigg Fell and returned to Grasmere village via Grasmere lake.

Grasmere is very crowded by day but in the evenings it becomes quieter and there weren?t too many in the pub when we arrived. This was the best pub meal we had in the Lake District and the beer was excellent too. I had Yorkshire Pudding with Cumberland Sausages while Ruth chose Chicken Curry and Chips.
