"N/AWe were remote from the..." Belize Restaurant Tip by DellyM

Belize Restaurants: 87 reviews and 62 photos

We were remote from the mainland so did a fortnightly boat trip to Dangriga to obtain supplies. Started every day with a bowl of porridge which we all moaned about until we ran out. Then we all complained because we wanted our porridge!!!
The unique experience of picking up a carrot to prepare for lunch, the majority of the carrot flew away. I was left with a tiny stub, the rest of what appeared to be carrot had been hundreds of tiny orange coloured flies, obviously feeding on what I'd picked up! You had to see it to believe it.

Favorite Dish: From some of the concoctions we put together, dare I say it........porridge!!
