This restaurant can be a bit hard to find since its crammed in between 18 different fruit sellers, all with their merchandise displayed on the sidewalk. Inside the ambience leaves much to be desired, but the simple décor is very much excused by the delicious food. The Dumpling House serves traditional food and the portions are generous. 12 lamb dumplings cost CAD4 and are the mot expensive dumplings on the list. Service is kurt but prompt and the meat is actually meat - not gristle and fat like at other restaurants.

Favorite Dish: Lamb Dumplings
Green onion cake
Hot and sour soup (a huge bowl for CAD1.60!)

Address: Spadina Ave
Price Comparison: least expensive
Directions: A block and a half north of Dundas, west side of Spadina
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 4
Theme: Chinese/Dim Sum
