"Reserve in advance" TGV Tip by caffelatte

TGV, Paris: 12 reviews and 25 photos

If you are traveling on a railpass, you should know that you need to buy reservations also for some trains like TGV, Thalys. You can probably buy reservations once you reach europe, since that is much cheaper than buying from US. BUT, for some busy lines like Amsterdam to Paris where probably Thalys is the only connection, reservations (for railpass holders) can be sold out quickly, especially during busy seasons. So make the reservations in advance.
However, at other places in europe like Italy or Austria, you dont need to hurry.
