Egypt - Squeezing out of concrete
by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Favorite thing: Ancient Egypt is literally overflown by the similar inscriptions put on firm breeds of stone.

Actually there is no anything mysterious there. Inscriptions were not cut out. They were squeezed out in still soft geopolymeric concrete. Therefore especially firm impregnations which had got in a hieroglyph were simply pressed into soft stone without any damage. After a while concrete stiffened and turned to firm granite.

This granite in firm condition hardly gives in to processing even with modern tools.
