Situated within 2 glorious mansions within the Le Marais District, this museum highlights the history of Paris. From prehistoric times through the French Revolution and the Commune, various relics are displayed. There are numerous paintings by well known and not so well known artists. There are also various rooms decorated in the style of the era. Admission is charged (free to holders of the Paris Museums Pass). Outside, one can see the magnificent architecture of the 17th Century mansions and the gardens surrounding them.
