The Hollyhock Fairtrade Café is hidden away in the tranquil terraced gardens, between Richmond Hill and the river. It is a haven where you can escape from the high street and the café chains. Relax on the shaded veranda while enjoying the view over the gardens and down to the Thames, or in winter sit inside in front of the fire and thaw out.
Very popular with families, it can get a bit hectic at times. I wouldn't go there with a large group - unless you want to get take away and sit in the gardens. The serving area is not large enough and when busy it can be a bit difficult to order/pay/collect drinks, plus the tables are really only made for 2-4 people.
Favorite Dish: Not the place to go for a gourmet meal, or a decent coffee, I would recommend Hollyhock as somewhere to relax over a pot of tea and a slice of cake, and perhaps read a book or watch the squirrels playing.
