The Chiesa di Santa Margherita de' Cerchi is an ancient church dedicated to Margaret the Virgin. It was built in 1032 and contains Neri di Bicci?s altarpiece, Madonna and Four Saints.

It is said to be the place where Dante married Gemma Donati in 1295 and where his great love, Beatrice Portinari, is burried.
