Kartlis Deda, Mother Georgia, is a statue standing above the hill overlooking the old town. The statue was made by one of the Georgian sculptor and it symbolizes Georgia after it gained its statehood: In one hand Kartlis Deda is holding a cup of wine, symbolizing the hospitality, and in the other hand - a sword showing the Georgians are always ready to fight invaders.

If one asks me not a big deal, though there is a nice view over the old town and the city.

Directions: It is possible to get to it from the citadel
