Alaska Salmon Bake: "Seafood Buffet in a Garden" Alaska Restaurant Tip by MyHollyDay

Some may think this place is a little too touristy especially there were a group of people from the cruise arriving when we were there. Aside from that, there really isnt anything I can pick on. The atmosphere is a relaxed garden setting. People working there seem to be enjoying their time as much as we are. We found out the reason after chatting with the gardener. These happy souls work only the 4 summer months. Everyone pack up in September and go do their own stuff. Leaving the place dormant along with the grizzlies. The gardener (in the second photo) also told us that everyone in alaska plant something when summer comes. Vegetables and flowers need only half the time they normally need to grow and they grow to double or triple the size they normally come in, all because of the 19-24 hours of daylight.
Favorite Dish: I couldn't get enough of the bbq halibut cubes, the salmon bake, and the cod chunks fish and chip style. Good thing this is buffet....lol
