Favorite thing: Fluntern is one of Zurich's 34 districts. It used to be independent until 1893 and is situated at the southwestern side of the hill Zurichberg.

Due to its sunny location it is nowadays home to many villas and expensive apartments.

Among the sights are the old and the big church.

The old church (Alte Kirche) was built in 1763, whereas the big church (Grosse Kirche) dates back to 1920. It was designed by the famous Swiss architect Karl Moser.

The oldest building in the old centre of Fluntern was constructed before 1650. It used to be a public house.

Directions:
The district of Fluntern can be reached by tram lines 5 and 6. Get off at the "Kirche Fluntern" stop.
