Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City: 193 reviews and 377 photos
This museum has there floors dedicated to, obviously, various forms of art, such as painting, music, photography, etc.
We're not so much into museums so we didn't visit all expositions. However, the Egyptian section was very impressive - you have to see the Dendur Temple, which is an original Egyptian Temple.
Entrance is by contribution; however, the strongly encourage visitors to pay the recommended amount which, as of 2007, was 20$ for adults and 10$ for students.
Address: 1000 Fifth Avenue at 82nd Street
Directions: Take 4, 5, or 6 train to 86th Street and walk three blocks west to Fifth Avenue
