  The IMAX Projection Room
by Jetgirly

Located inside the Royal British Columbia Museum, the National Geographic IMAX Theatre is a giant movie theatre playing the best large-screen documentaries and full-length feature films. The theatre seats four hundred people on a first-come, first-serve basis. The screen itself is more than six stories high and seventy feet wide! It's huge! Normally, shows play on the hour, every hour, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. When full-length films show, the schedule changes quite a bit.

The IMAX experience is totally different from a regular movie experience, as the large screen makes you feel like part of the action. Whether you're helicoptering over glaciers or descending into the depths of an Egyptian tomb, it's an amazing feeling!

For current schedule information see the link below. Purchase your tickets at the main museum box office, then head behind the cashiers for the concession and gift shop.
