Restaurant Stammtisch: "Restaurant Stammtisch" Singapore Restaurant Tip by Carino

Singapore Restaurants: 741 reviews and 1,194 photos

Being a Swiss in Singapore I was craving for some swiss food. Luckely there is a Swiss Restaurant in Singapore called Stammtisch (Regular's Table). The interior looks like a typical swiss restaurant and you can even hear some swiss folklore music on the radio. The owner is either from Germany (as there are some german dishes on the menu as well) or from Switzerland. Unfortunatelly he didn't talk to us at all.... and they have no swiss beer on the menu....

Favorite Dish: The menu offers some typical swiss dishes including Barley Soup and Cheese Fondue. The Cheese Fondue is not 100% authentic, but very close. My suggestion, order some Kirsch (Schnaps) along with your fondue and dip your bread into the Kirsch first. Then dip it into the cheese and enjoy this flavour. This is the swiss way of eating fondue. White wine goes along just fine and their house wine was delicious.

Barley Soup @ SGD 8+++
Cheese Fondue @ SGD 24+++
Chocolate Mousse @ SGD 6+++
Rivella (a delicious swiss pop/drink) @ SGD 5.50+++
House Wine (White, Bottle) @ SGD 52+++
Kirsch (Schnaps) @ SGD 9+++
