"Inside the Franciscan church" Vac Things to Do Tip by 1courage

The internal of the franciscan (holy cross) church is typlically "franciscan". Nice, but not exessively ornated, only the outstanding main altar, constructed and painted in an early rococo style, between 1726 and 1729, is richly decorated.
This altar represents the scene when martyr saint Stephen (not identical to the hungarian king) is beeing killed by stoning. In the nave we find 14 other paintings and 14 statues. The accoustics of the church-if it`s possible- for me are even better than those of the Dom.
