Hans Memling Museum, Brugge: 5 reviews and 7 photos

Europe is noted for classic works of art and this man, of whom the statue is a representation, is responsible for a set known as the "Dreaming Madonnas".
Though a German by birth, he eventually settled in Brugge by choice and did the bulk of his work here before his death in 1494.
He is often referred to as the "Fra Angelica" (famous Italian painter) of the north.
The statue was erected by Henri Pickery in 1871.
