In the heart of St. Anne's quarter is one of the architectural jewels of Brugge. Built on the orders of Anselmo Adorno it dates back to the 15th century. Adorna was a humanist, originally from Genovese origin, and the church is built in a manner akin to the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.
Adorno and his wife's (Marguerite van der Banck) monumental tombs are situated centrally inside the church.
Highlights include the crypt beneath the choir which is a copy of Christ's tomb and has a remarkable wrought iron tabernacle and the stained glass windows from the 15th and 16th centuries whose filtered light is simply beautiful.

Address: St. Anne's quarter
