Hotel Diyalo Pvt Ltd: "Business hotel in Birganj" Birganj Hotel Tip by Saagar
Birganj Hotels: 2 reviews and 0 photos
Hotel Diyalo is located centrally in Birganj on Adarshnagar (street) and is a typical central town hotel in the Terai - concrete cubicle-type rooms of varying size, furnishing and quality. The entrance is to a side street off Adarshnagar, while some rooms face a central street, so there might be some noice, but as Nepalese towns go, there is no late traffic to speak of, only early morning traffic.
I paid a neat NPR 1000 for a de luxe suite a/c which was very nice. The bathroom was a fairly primitive affair, but adequate for me. Normal rooms with a/c would go for NPR 6-800. The "normal rooms" go for NPR 400, that's w/o a/c.
Breakfast is included, but there is a question of hygiene at the kitchen facility indeed, so if you can find an outside restaurant to feed that is more health per rupee.
Unique Qualities: There is price control and fixed price agreements between associated hotels in Birganj, so no discounts are avialable.
Walking distance to the main downtown areas of Birganj, bus station etc. Take a rickshaw to the Indian border if you are heading that way.
Interestingly they have a "doctor on call". Perhaps not related to the breakfast?
They assist with laundry, sightseeing, ticketing, money exchange and international calls.
They have a back-up generator, which is a good idea during these times of "loadshedding" of electricity.
