This was one of those unexpected 'finds'. While wandering around trying to find a restaurant that we were booked into, we came upon this park. We were struck by the huge trees that looked as if they belonged in a childrens story book- the sort that come to life and take on a human form.
The park probably wouldn't have looked so impressive in the day time, at night it felt quite magical.
Apparently this is one of Valencias oldest parks. It has pine, palm and magnolia trees dating back over a hundred years. Also in the park is an equestrian statue of Jaime 1, who liberated Valencia from the Moors in 1238.(see pic below)
I'm assuming that this is the name of the park by the way - If I'm wrong, please let me know

Directions: From the bottom of Pl, de la Reina, with the Cathedral behind you, head L. along Calle Paz. At the end You've reached Pl. Alfonso el Magnamino.
