This evocative statue of Willem van Saeftinghe sits at the side of the plaza that the church also is sited astride. Men on horses and men on foot facing one another beneath a figure of apparent doom. As to who or what it's all about I have not yet been able to ascertain.
This statue on a doorstep (pic 2) has Gallo Wijnkelder 29-9-1989 written upon it. Since the building was closed I have no idea about that either!
The next two I know are both restaurants, one of which (the long one with the vine) I would have eaten at except I didn't want to buy the restaurant, just buy a meal. You can gather the prices after that comment.
The other one has a plaque to Walram Rombout who the street is also named after. He lived in the area from 1592 to 1668.
The last shot is one I took just outside Lissewege of a country house.
