"Lower Bazaar" Top 5 Page for this destination Simla Things to Do Tip by Willettsworld

Simla Things to Do: 58 reviews and 115 photos

One of the main streets leading off from The Mall is Lower Bazaar which Kipling once referred to as "that crowded rabbit warren catering to the native population of Shimla". Its often referred to as the poor man's Mall as it offers cheaper housing, shops and eating places. Basically you can buy most things here including the usual textiles, stainless steel utensils and food (there's a small spice market). Here sherpas carry heavy loads on their backs with straps around their heads through the crowds.
